Do you talk to yourself? If you are playing a sport and you make a mistake, what is the discussion with yourself all about? You may not be used to this, but we all talk to ourselves at times and there can be a lot of value in the exercise. Mental strengthening can come from a positive self talk and the value that we get from such an experience can be very powerful.
Positive self talk is all about hyping up yourself, getting your brain tuned up in a great mental state to succeed. Do not beat yourself up over a mistake in your sport, it happens! Your mind can hold you back in a sport and if you can use a positive self discussion to get you over the edge, it will do wonders for your endgame.
